John Howland is a seasoned photographer based on the traditional territory of the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in; Dawson City, Yukon, Canada. John built his career in the action sports industry, rooting his skillset in fast paced, candid and anticipatory movement. In his decade long career John has expanded his range of experience across all types of commercial and editorial photography, while developing a passion for producing artistic prints. John is focused on capturing a subject’s emotional response, whether they’re arcing a ski turn down a remote peak, posing for a headshot or engaging in political debate.
John’s work has taken him around the world and has been featured in many publications, including Powder Magazine, Sotheby’s International Realty, Yukon North of Ordinary and many more. Currently residing north of 60°, John’s skills have quickly become sought after in the Yukon.
